Civil Eyes

Civil Eyes act as our providers of NHS data. They are a leading benchmarking organisation working with clinicians and managers to use information to understand the metrics of quality and productivity within health services.

Civil Eyes offers two leading edge benchmarking programmes which are managed as clubs by the participating hospitals:

• Valuing Medical Resources – twenty teaching hospitals across the UK have joined together to work on productivity issues

• The Specialist Children’s Hospitals network with fourteen members working on shared data and developing specialist benchmarks
Their current projects include advising

• Primary care trusts on the commissioning and emerging provider responsibilities

• Independent sector providers on market assessment

• The National Specialist Commissioning Group on the definitions and description of specialist services for children

• Providing regular reports for Practice based Commissioning clusters and GP practices
